The machine tools designed for window and door work of PVC are the new additional topic of interest in the Department since 2000. The window work is produced by over 1000 factories in Poland. The employees of the Department are external consultants of the projects as well as technology of manufacturing of many semiautomatic machines and machine tools for window work with automatic work cycle. In these machine tools the latest construction and control elements are used i.e. rolling screws and sliding units, inverter drives, magnetic measurement linear units, PLC type controllers, valve isles, air-oil cylinders, pressure sensors etc. The Workshop of the Department manufactures some elements for the producer of these machine tools. The Department has got some publications in domestic journals, conference materials presented on conferences and during The International Fairs in Poznań. The publications deal with hydraulic and pneumatic drives and control as well as simulation of cutting process. In the Department several technical opinions of the imported modern centers, manufacturing lines and semiautomatic machine tools for window work have been elaborated.
